„To wygląda jak pizza” - sztuka abstrakcyjna w interpretacji bota
Z dekady na dekadę maszyny i roboty zabierają ludziom pracę w coraz większej ilości dziedzin. Czy w przyszłości mogą również zastąpić krytyków sztuki? Zapewne nie, ale ciekawie jest popatrzeć jak by to wyglądało. Możemy to zrobić dzięki projektowi Novice Art Blogger, którego autorem jest brytyjski artysta Matthew Plummer-Fernandez. Stworzył on program, który losowo wybiera zdjęcia obrazów i rzeźb (głównie należących do sztuki abstrakcyjnej) z internetowego archiwum galerii Tate, a następnie przepuszcza je przez ogólnodostępny algorytm opracowany przez naukowców z Uniwersytetu Toronto i służący do tłumaczenia obrazków na tekst (co ciekawe, ten sam algorytm został wykorzystany do innego, nie mniej ciekawego projektu - otóż na Twitterze istnieje kanał o nazwie NSFW_JPG, na którym bot opisuje to, co widzi na zdjęciach pornograficznych).
